WINTER RECOVERY & RENEWAL

Relax and Rejuvenate with Restorative Yoga & Yoganidra
taught by Susan Morton

Give yourself a deeply restorative break from the winter doldrums with Gentle and Restorative Yoga, Meditation, and Yoga Nidra

The blustery chill of winter takes a toll on the body, causing the muscles to tense and a drop in energy levels. Often, we end up feeling exhausted and our immune systems become depleted.

Using Gentle and Restorative Yoga, Meditation, and Yoga Nidra, we will induce a deep relaxing healing state through the entire bodymind, tapping into and building our storehouse of energy, and connecting with the inner stillness that is always available through simple practices.

We will begin our journey with a deep release to the fascia, the network of tissue that holds tension in the bodymind and spirit, by doing some basic work with Yamuna balls. We’ll continue with some gentle and restorative yoga postures in which we’ll be totally supported by props, enabling the bodymind to sink into a much more profound stillness and even deeper release. These practices will lead us into a natural meditative state. We will then practice Yoga Nidra.

Yoga Nidra is a profoundly transformative practice derived from the ancient yogic approach to meditation. Yoga Nidra is defined as “yogic sleep,” or “the realization of our inherent onenesss with all of creation across all states of consciousness.”

Consider participating in this workshop as a gift to yourself. Doing so will enable you to revitalize and share the gift of serenity, peace, and well-being with others at this challenging time of year.
